I klippet ljuder Semisonics hitlåt Closing Time från 1998. You don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here”.
‘We did not authorize or condone the White House’s use of our song in any way. And no, they didn’t ask’ […] ‘The song is about joy and possibilities and hope, and they have missed the point entirely.’

Exactly who is running the White House X account is an object of fascination for close observers. […] What all the speculation suggests is that at least someone with access to the account is intimately familiar with far-right internet spaces and culture, specifically Groypers, a term for the loose online movement that has succeeded the alt-right.

Trump said Sunday that he loves the idea of deporting incarcerated Americans to El Salvador, but that he doesn’t ‘know what the law says on that.’ A reporter had asked Trump about El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele’s offer to house American prisoners.

President Donald Trump simply decided to turn 350,000 legal immigrants into illegal ones. […] This is not an immigration agenda that targets criminals; it’s one that criminalizes immigrants who have followed the law, by stripping them of their existing visas and work permits.
